Nepal: Tragic bus accident in Bagmati province, 7 people died, more than 30 injured

Kathmandu: News of a horrific bus accident is coming to light in the early hours of Wednesday in Nepal’s Bagmati province. According to the information, a bus carrying passengers suddenly lost its balance and fell into the river. At least seven people, including a woman, died and 30 others were injured when the bus fell into the river. The injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital. According to the news of Nepal’s daily newspaper ‘The Himalayan Times’, the driver could not control the passenger bus going to Kathmandu in Ghatbesi area and it fell into the Trishuli river.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Gautam KC of Dhading District Police Office, at least seven people, including a woman, died in the accident. He said at least 30 passengers were injured in the accident. It is being told that these people were saved by the local people along with Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army. “The injured were rescued and after first aid at a local health facility, they were taken to Kathmandu for further treatment,” Gautam KC said, The Himalayan Times reported. ,

The dead could not be identified
According to the news, the dead have not been identified yet. The bus driver has been arrested by the police. The death toll is expected to increase considering the injuries sustained by passengers when the bus fell into the river. Armed police forces and a team from the Disaster Management Training School, Kurintar, Chitwan were also involved in the rescue operation, the report said.
