New Delhi: Afghanistan’s Commerce and Industry Minister Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi is on a visit to India, inviting Indian companies to invest in his country i.e. Afghanistan. Why is the Taliban government calling back the escaped Afghan Hindu-Sikh brothers to Afghanistan?

New Delhi: Afghanistan’s Commerce and Industry Minister Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi is visiting India. He invited Indian companies to invest in his country, Afghanistan. Azizi promised to create a conducive environment to promote bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The Afghan minister cited mining, agriculture, health and medicine, IT, energy, and textiles as sectors where significant opportunities exist for business partnerships. Minister Azizi also encouraged greater participation from Afghanistan’s Sikh and Hindu communities. He reaffirmed his country’s commitment to ensuring an inclusive, peaceful, and business-friendly environment for all stakeholders.

Afghanistan is described as business-friendly
Afghan Minister Azizi arrived in New Delhi on a five-day visit to India with a high-level delegation. Minister Azizi said, “I urge Indian businessmen to see the potential of Afghanistan and the conducive environment we have created for them and other industrialists.” This is a good opportunity to explore opportunities in the mining industry, agriculture, healthcare, and IT. There are many opportunities in Afghanistan, and I humbly invite you to visit our country.”

The Taliban Government is Offering These Facilities
Minister Azizi also addressed a dialogue session organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in New Delhi. He expressed gratitude for the Indian government’s continued support. Azizi stated that Afghanistan is offering several new incentives, including a one-percent duty on raw materials and machinery, free land allocation, reliable electricity supply, and a proposed five-year tax exemption for new businesses.

Air cargo services to commence soon
It is noteworthy that India and Afghanistan have agreed on several measures to increase bilateral trade, which currently stands at approximately US$1 billion. Meanwhile, the Indian government has stated that air cargo services between India and Afghanistan will commence soon.
