New Delhi: Before Holi, an illegal liquor factory has been busted in Delhi. According to reports, fake liquor was being made in the factory and a huge amount of raw material has been recovered. It is being told that this fake liquor was to be supplied in different areas of Delhi on the occasion of Holi. The special thing is that ‘For Sale in Haryana Only’ was written on the liquor bottles. Police have arrested 2 people including a woman in this case, while the owner of the factory has absconded.
About 12 thousand bottles recovered
According to reports, Delhi Police has raided and caught an illegal liquor factory on the basis of secret information. A large amount of fake liquor was being made in this factory located in Gokulpuri area of Delhi. Fake liquor was to be supplied in the markets of Delhi on the occasion of Holi. Police has recovered a huge amount of spirit from this illegal liquor factory. About 1900 liters of spirit, chemicals and raw material used in making liquor have been recovered from the factory. Police have recovered about 12 thousand bottles of liquor from the factory.
2 arrested, factory owner absconding
During the operation, police have also recovered labeling and QR code stickers used on liquor bottles from inside the factory. Apart from this, a large quantity of bottles and caps etc. have also been found. The liquor bottles recovered from the factory had ‘Only Sale in Haryana’ written on them, while they were to be supplied in Delhi. Police have arrested a woman named Suman and a man named Pappu in this case, while the factory owner has absconded. Police said that the absconding factory owner is being searched for.
