New Delhi: BJP MP Jagdambika Pal compared India’s economic growth rate with some other big economies of the world. Along with this, he said in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday that if his figures are wrong, he will apologize and resign from the membership of the House. During this, Jagdambika Pal also said that India’s economy is reviving under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Lok Sabha MP from Dumariyaganj, Uttar Pradesh Jagdambika Pal said that India is the fastest growing economy in the world. He compared the growth rate of neighboring countries and many other big economies with India’s growth rate. Jagdambika Pal said, “Rahul Gandhi advocates China, today India’s growth rate is about seven percent while China’s is less than five percent.” Amidst the interruptions of the opposition members, he said, “If these figures are wrong, I will apologize and resign.” He said that the states have been provided their share of funds by the central government.
Priyanka took a dig at Sitharaman
During the discussion on the budget session, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi took a dig at Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. She said that she does not know in which world she lives that she is not able to see inflation and unemployment. Responding to the discussion on the budget in the Lok Sabha, Sitharaman said that there are many domestic and global reasons behind the fall in the value of rupee against the US dollar. She said that during the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, inflation was in double digits and had reached more than 10, but now such a situation is not there at all. On this, Priyanka Gandhi told reporters in the Parliament premises, “I do not know in which world she (Finance Minister) lives. She is saying that unemployment has not increased, inflation has not increased.”
