New Delhi: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta called an emergency meeting regarding dengue in the capital Delhi. In this meeting, measures to prevent dengue, malaria and chikungunya were discussed. The Chief Minister has given instructions to start fogging. The Chief Minister directed that wherever dengue mosquitoes or its larvae are found, a warning should be given twice before challan.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has ordered to start the fogging campaign before the scheduled time. So far, fogging has been done in 5 lakh houses. It was told in the meeting that larvae were found in a total of 71 thousand houses, which have been destroyed. Larvivorous fish were released at 279 places under biological control. The Chief Minister said that victory over dengue is not possible without public participation. We have to ensure that there is no shortage of medicine or equipment. Let us tell you that till July 16, 2025, 246 cases of dengue have been registered in Delhi. Health experts have expressed concern over the early arrival of monsoon and intermittent rains, calling it conducive for mosquito breeding. Health officials have been alerted and efforts have been intensified to prevent mosquito breeding.

Measures to prevent dengue
Do not let water accumulate: Do not let water accumulate in and around your house. Regularly clean the water accumulated in coolers, pots, old tires and any empty utensils.
Wear full-sleeved clothes: Wear full-sleeved clothes, especially during the day, when the Aedes mosquito is most active.
Use mosquito nets: Use mosquito nets while sleeping, especially if there are mosquitoes in your house.
Use mosquito repellents: Use mosquito repellent creams or sprays on your skin.
Keep doors and windows closed: Keep doors and windows closed or use nets during the evening.
