Actually, the SP chief had taunted the delay in the election of the BJP’s national president, to which the Home Minister gave a very funny reply. Akhilesh had taunted that the party which claims to be the world’s largest party is not able to decide who will be the next national president because there is a competition going on within the party.

Responding to Akhilesh’s taunt, Shah said, ‘Akhilesh Yadav has said this while smiling, so I also reply to this while laughing. In all the parties in front, only 5 people have to be elected as the national president, so it does not take any time. In our country, 12 crore people together vote, so it gets delayed. It will not take any time in your case. I say that you (Akhilesh Yadav) are the president for the next 25 years.’ There was a lot of laughter in the house on this answer of Amit Shah and Akhilesh Yadav was also seen laughing with folded hands.
‘This bill is the political obstinacy of the ruling BJP’
Akhilesh Yadav also said in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday that the government brought the Waqf (Amendment) Bill to cover up its failure and this is the ‘political obstinacy’ of the ruling BJP and ‘a new form of its communal politics’. While participating in the discussion on the bill, he said that the issues related to Waqf on which a decision was to be taken have not been given importance in this bill. Taking a jibe at the Centre’s decision of ‘demonetisation’, Akhilesh said, ‘They had come with a lot of preparation, it was decided that notes will not be valid after midnight, but still so much money is coming out from so many places.’
‘On how much land has China settled its villages?’
Akhilesh said, ‘The bigger issue than the Waqf land is the land on which China has settled its villages. But this bill was brought so that no one raises any question or uproar on this external threat. The minister (Kiren Rijiju) comes from the same border state, Arunachal Pradesh. He should tell how much land China has settled on. The Waqf Bill is BJP’s political stubbornness and it is a new form of BJP’s communal politics. BJP is trying to mark the land of Muslim brothers. The government wants to take control of (Waqf) land and give it to its people through the back door.
Discussion is going on in Lok Sabha regarding Waqf Amendment Bill. During the discussion, BJP MP Anurag Thakur targeted Congress and Samajwadi Party regarding Waqf. Anurag Thakur said that Congress party has traded the constitution for vote bank. He said, ‘Whoever you keep an eye on will become the property of Waqf. Which is the law in India which has taken away your house, your village and your temple or which is the law which is above the constitution. The name of this law is Waqf which was made during the rule of Congress, which has also occupied temples, villages, lands and you cannot even go to court against it.’

Targeting Congress, Anurag Thakur said that Congress party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge was also involved in the Waqf scam that happened in Karnataka. Finally, Congress has brought its casteist thinking. It works to divide people sometimes in the name of caste, sometimes in the name of religion. In the report of Karnataka Vidhan Sabha, names of not one but many Congress leaders have come up who have usurped the property of Waqf and committed fraud. That is why you do not want transparency and you do not want accountability. After this Anurag Thakur also targeted Samajwadi Party.

He said that 12 thousand crore rupees income would have been generated from 9 lakh acres of land in a year but you only did vote politics. Waqf has land equal to two countries like Mauritius. Waqf Board has land equal to 12 countries like Maldives. When Lalu Prasad Yadav was the CM, he said that the Waqf Board had eaten up the land of the dak bungalow in Patna. They are eating up government land.
He further said, ‘In the red cap government in UP, their minister of that time had eaten up hundreds of acres of land. They have many more black deeds. They are anti-Muslim, anti-Pasmanda, anti-Ahmadiya and anti-women. They could never do anything for the upliftment of the poor. What do we say, whether it is a Shia, an Ahmadiya, a person from the backward class, make him its member. You practice casteism even in the Muslim society.’ He said that the work of usurping the rights of Muslims has been done. The Waqf Board has zero accountability. Manmohan Singh said that Muslims have the first right on the resources of India. If anyone has given concrete houses, drinking water, food and good education to Muslims, it is Narendra Modi’s government.

The Waqf Amendment Bill has been introduced in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. Discussion on this bill is going on continuously. BJP MP Anurag Thakur has fiercely targeted the opposition parties over the objection of opposition parties on the Waqf Bill. Anurag has accused the opposition of doing vote bank politics and the Waqf Board of occupying the land. Anurag Thakur has also clearly said that this is Hindustan, not Pakistan-Taliban. You have done the work of making two laws in one country. You have to decide whether you want to stay with the Waqf or the Constitution. I want to tell those who are talking big that this is Hindustan, not Pakistan or Taliban. Baba Saheb’s constitution will work here, Mughal decrees will not work here. Not one but many such examples will be seen. Today we are not only discussing the constitutional amendment. BJP MP Anurag Thakur said- “Waqf Amendment 2025 is not just a change in the law but a message that only one law will run in the country and that is the Constitution of India, nothing above the Constitution. The purpose of the Waqf Board was to manage the properties for the welfare of the Muslim community. But the Congress and its allies gave political patronage to this land in an opaque and irresponsible manner and created such an empire where it has been made an ATM of their vote bank. They have done the same for 70 years. India has seen a partition in 1947. That partition happened because of a family and party. Today, we will not let the second partition happen in the name of land jihad and land jihad. We want to give a clear message that under the leadership of PM Modi, there will be one law, one constitution and one India in India. There is also a clear message that if we are one, we are safe.” Anurag Thakur said, “We will bring transparency and fix accountability through this bill. Whose own leaders are embroiled in corruption cases. In whose state scams of thousands of crores of rupees have taken place which will be mentioned. This process has been going on for 70 years. From 1964, 1969, one amendment after another came, from 1995 to 2013, this law was made in such a way that there was no right to even challenge it. No audit, no inspection, just talk of land acquisition. In a way, city by city, street by street, one occupation after another was done on it. This was not secularism but it was a work to take towards a soft partition. First the country was divided. After this, by giving Section 370 and 35A, such wounds were given that thousands of people died. Narendra Modi government removed it. Anurag Thakur said- “Congress and its allies have traded the constitution for vote bank. The Waqf bill is an attack on the root of injustice. After this, justice is justice for all. We have said that every Waqf property should be registered and there should be data of it and every dispute should be resolved under the law and not under any fear. Why are you afraid that if someone gets justice, after the tribunal, if he wants to go to the High Court or Supreme Court, then why do you stop him. Under every law in the country, you can go to one court after another, but why was this legal ban imposed in Waqf. This bill is not against any religion but against fraud, corruption and religious feudalism and we will be against it. Anurag Thakur said- “As long as Narendra Modi is the PM, appeasement will stop. This bill is not about Hindus vs Muslims. This bill is about the constitution vs corruption, this is about India vs internal division. Partition has happened once but now we will not let it happen again because of your antics. In Turkey, after 1923, the Waqf Ministry was abolished in 1924 and the General Directorate of Foundation was formed. It invests money for the welfare of the people. This happened in countries like Kuwait, Lebanon as well. But this was not done here. The Waqf Board has been given to just 200 people. The country’s property worth lakhs of crores of rupees has been given away.”
