New Delhi: An attempted robbery has come to light in Old Delhi that will leave you stunned. According to reports, four people have been arrested for attempting to rob a couple in the Turkman Gate area of Old Delhi. The suspects were using fake guns and knives. Police announced the incident on Saturday, identifying the arrested suspects as Mohammad Shahjahan, Gaurav Kumar, Chaudhary Prashant Singh, and Abdul Samad.

Providing details about the incident, police said the robbers targeted Alauddin, Shahjahan’s maternal uncle. They said Samad works as an auto mechanic in Noida, while Prashant and Gaurav are auto drivers. Police said Prashant and Gaurav are frequent visitors to Samad’s workshop. According to information received, the incident occurred around 11:45 pm on Friday night. Alauddin and his wife, Noor Jahan, were watching TV at home when the doorbell rang.
Alauddin’s daughter-in-law raised an alarm. Police reported that as soon as Alauddin opened the door, four masked men entered the house and began threatening the couple with pistols and knives. Alauddin’s daughter-in-law, Namira, saw the robbers and raised an alarm. Hearing Namira’s screams, a crowd gathered outside the house, and someone called the police. This led to the capture of the four robbers. Upon searching, police recovered two fake guns from Prashant Singh and Gaurav Kumar. A large knife was found on Shahjahan, while four rolls of cellophane tape and three empty bags were recovered from Abdul Samad.
