New Delhi: A tragic accident has come to light late at night in the capital Delhi. Here, an uncontrolled DTC bus hit a person and a police constable of Civil Lines Police Station near Monastery Market on the Ring Road. After hitting both of them, the DTC bus collided with the divider. Both the people who were hit in the accident died. Both have been declared dead. Police said that after this accident, the driver of the DTC bus has been taken into custody. The driver of the bus, Vinod Kumar (57), is a resident of Ghazipur. Police say that legal action is being taken in the case.
Bus climbed on the divider
According to the information, the DTC bus was coming from the monastery on the ring road at around 10 pm on Monday night. The speeding bus hit a very large iron pole near the monastery. A person was standing near the pole who came under its grip, due to which he died on the spot. DTC driver Vinod did not stop the bus there but took it about 100 meters ahead and Constable Victor posted at the barricade also got hit by this huge iron pole, due to which he also died on the spot. The driver of the DTC bus kept driving the bus after the accident with the iron pole stuck in it, after which it collided with the police barricade and after that the bus climbed over the divider.
The driver was taken into custody by the police
In this accident, 27-year-old Constable Victor from Nagaland posted at Civil Lines Police Station and another unknown person died. Constable Victor was posted on night patrolling duty. The condition of the bus tells how terrible the accident was. If the driver of the DTC bus had stopped the bus after hitting the pole, then Delhi Police Constable Victor would not have lost his life on the police barricade. At present, the police have caught the accused DTC driver Vinod and the investigation of the case is going on.
