New Delhi: In an important meeting of the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind’s executive committee held on Wednesday, Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani was re-elected as the organization’s president. The meeting, chaired by Maulana Mahmood Madani, discussed in detail issues such as the Waqf Amendment Act 2025, allegations of Muslim infiltration, the Palestine Peace Agreement, and the tightening of the noose around Muslim minorities. The meeting also announced the central president for a new term, and Maulana Madani was unanimously elected president for the second time. The executive committees of all states had recommended him for the next term.

Allegations of Muslim infiltration are baseless
Maulana Madani, president of the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, spoke on the current situation in the country, the tightening of the noose around minorities, the insulting of their religious symbols and terminology, bulldozer operations, restrictions on religious freedom, and the campaign against Halal. The Executive Committee deliberated in detail on the allegations of demographic change and infiltration against Muslims, calling such statements detrimental to national unity, social harmony, and constitutional equality. The Executive Committee further stated in its resolution that the Central Government has repeatedly stated in writing to the Supreme Court and Parliament that it does not have any authentic figures of illegal infiltrators, and therefore, these allegations are based on falsehoods.

Jamiat will continue to oppose Waqf.
The committee’s resolution stated that Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind has been strongly opposed to illegal infiltration in the country since its inception and believes that if any infiltration is taking place, the entire responsibility lies with the government and the Home Ministry. Blaming Muslims for this alleged infiltration is completely baseless. In its resolution regarding the Waqf Act 2025 and the Umeed Portal, the Executive Committee stated that this Act poses a serious threat to the religious identity of Waqf, and therefore, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind will continue to strongly oppose it at the constitutional, legal, and democratic levels. The committee has demanded that the government extend the registration deadline by at least two years.

Demand for an Independent State for Peace in Palestine
The Executive Committee stated in its resolution regarding the Palestine Peace Agreement that peace in the Middle East is impossible until a sovereign and independent Palestinian state is established according to the 1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital, and the religious status and security of all holy sites, including the Al-Aqsa Mosque, are guaranteed. Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind calls on the international community, especially the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other countries to ensure the establishment of a Palestinian state and the protection of the holy sites. Jamiat also demanded effective action against illegal Jewish settlements, occupations, and forced evictions.
