Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders effective November 1st. However, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders (14.2 kg), meaning there will be no relief in the household’s kitchen budget for the time being.

In fact, last month, in October, the price of commercial cylinders was increased by about 15 rupees, which increased the burden of inflation on hotels, restaurants, and small businesses. However, in early November, the government provided some relief by reducing the price of 19 kg commercial cylinders by 4.5 to 6.5 rupees. According to the Indian Oil website, the price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder in Delhi is now 1590.50 rupees. This is 5 rupees cheaper than last month. No Change in Domestic Gas Prices
While commercial cylinders have become cheaper, there has been no relief in cooking gas prices for ordinary consumers. The price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder has remained stable since April 2025.
Current domestic cylinder prices are as follows:
Delhi: ₹853
Kolkata: ₹879
Mumbai: ₹852.50
Chennai: ₹868.50
Reason behind the reduction?
Experts believe that commercial LPG prices are determined monthly based on global market rates and tax structures. This slight reduction was made to balance the November price increase after the October price hike.
