Nitish Kumar’s cabinet held its final meeting on Friday before the Bihar Assembly elections. During this meeting, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar showered the public with gifts. The cabinet approved 129 proposals from various departments. Before Diwali and Chhath, Nitish Kumar increased the dearness allowance of state government employees and pensioners by 3 percent. Key decisions of the Nitish cabinet
The Bihar government has decided to provide lawyers registered after January 1, 2024, with a monthly allowance of 5,000 rupees for three years. Unemployed graduates in Bihar will receive 1,000 rupees per month for two years. A three-fold increase in the salaries of education workers in Mahadalit and minority schools and teachers in educational institutions has also been announced. Nitish Kumar also made several decisions for farmers and businessmen. In the meeting, the Nitish Kumar government approved several proposals related to various sectors, including agriculture, rural development, and infrastructure. Several IAS officers were also transferred today.

When will the election date be announced?
The Election Commission team, led by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, is arriving in Bihar to review election preparations. It is believed that the election dates in Bihar will be announced after returning to Delhi. Therefore, today’s cabinet meeting is the last cabinet meeting of Nitish Kumar’s tenure.

CM Nitish Kumar gave a gift to women
Before the cabinet meeting, Nitish Kumar released another installment of the Women’s Employment Scheme, transferring Rs. 10,000 each to the accounts of 2.5 million women. Previously, Prime Minister Modi had given Rs. 10,000 each to 7.5 million women. Under this scheme, Rs. 10,000 each has been transferred to the accounts of 1 crore women. Today, Nitish Kumar said that the money he transferred to women’s accounts would boost their businesses. Following this, the government would provide these women with an additional two lakh rupees. Nitish then spoke about his work and said that his government has taken care of women, and he hopes they will take care of him in the elections.

Prime Minister Modi will also give gifts
On Friday, Prime Minister Modi will launch schemes worth ₹62,000 crore for youth. An investment of ₹60,000 crore will be made in skill and employment-related schemes. In the first phase, these schemes will focus specifically on ITIs in Patna and Darbhanga. The Prime Minister’s Nischay Swayam Sahayatra Allowance Scheme will be implemented for Bihar, providing 500,000 youth with a monthly allowance of ₹1,000 and free skill training for two years. PM Modi will also formally inaugurate the Bihar Youth Commission on Friday. Many more such schemes for Bihar will be launched on Friday. All of this also means that the election dates are about to be announced. The Election Commission may announce the Bihar election dates on Sunday.
