UP: Noida Authority has taken a tough stand on illegal constructions in Noida and has started a major action. The authority is now in active mode regarding illegal buildings being built and flats and shops being sold without permission. So far 150 illegal buildings have been identified, out of which FIR has been registered in 125 cases. Noida Authority CEO is now seen taking action.
It is being told that these buildings have not only been built without permission, but many have also been illegally erected on the authorized land of the authority. This illegal construction has happened rapidly in areas like Sector-49, Barola, Hajipur, Sector-121 and FNG Road. A network of real estate mafia is being told behind all this, which is selling flats and shops to common people by calling itself a colonizer.
The big question that arises in this entire episode is that why action was not taken against these illegal constructions earlier? Was all this possible without the connivance of the officials? Were the officials of the concerned department unaware of these activities, or did they deliberately turn a blind eye? Sources claim that in many cases these construction works were possible only with the support of the officials.
Now it will be important to see whether the action is limited only to the mafia and builders or will it also reach those officials during whose tenure these constructions flourished. CEO of Noida Authority Lokesh M said that we are continuously running a campaign. Strict action is being taken against those doing illegal construction. So far, FIR has been registered against 125 people and notices are also being issued to them as per the rules. Boards stating that this building is illegal are being put up on the buildings that have been identified. Demolition action will also be taken as per the rules. No one will be spared.
