It was flying over the Caspian Sea at the time of the accident
Data from online flight tracking website FlightRadar24 shows that the plane was flying over the Caspian Sea before it crashed. It was moving towards its destination in Chechnya. But the pilot of the plane, feeling the danger, was seen requesting an emergency landing and circling near the airport after entering the territorial border of Russia.
