Odisha: 99 people died of sunstroke in the last 72 hours in the state due to scorching heat

These days, fire is raining from the sky in many parts of the country. Many people have lost their lives due to this scorching heat. The temperature is breaking records. People are being hospitalized due to heatstroke and heatwave. The same situation is in Odisha. At present, the people of Odisha do not seem to get any relief from this scorching heat. The scorching heat is becoming increasingly fatal. In Odisha, 99 people have reportedly died of sunstroke during the last 72 hours.

141 deaths due to sunstroke in Odisha

Out of these 99 deaths, 20 cases have been confirmed by the District Magistrates. The Special Relief Commissioner of Odisha has said that during this scorching heat, a total of 141 cases of deaths due to sunstroke have been registered by the District Magistrates, out of which 26 people have been confirmed dead due to heatstroke. A constable posted on election duty in Aurangabad, Bihar died of heatstroke.

No relief from scorching heat at the moment

Let us tell you that heat wave conditions are likely to continue in 12 states of North-West, Central and East India including Punjab and Haryana. There will be no relief from the heat wave during the next three days. After that, there will be some reduction gradually. The Meteorological Department said on Sunday that heat wave may continue in some places in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Odisha on Monday as well. During the last 24 hours, intense heat was felt in these states as well as Jharkhand. During the next three days, the maximum temperature in North India may increase by two to three degrees.
