At the same time, the condition of 5 other candidates is said to be critical, who are currently undergoing treatment at the Parlakhemundi district headquarters. On Thursday morning, the physical test was started under the recruitment process. During this, the candidates had to run 2 km from Ranipeth to Padmapur. This race was organized in Bettaguda area.

Fell on the ground after finishing the race

According to the information, Sulant Mishal had completed the race, but a few minutes after finishing the race, he fell on the ground and became unconscious. He was immediately taken to the district hospital of Parlakhemundi, but the doctors declared him dead. Not only Sulant, but 5 other candidates also felt physical discomfort after the race. Some of them are P. Shankar and Arpana Pani. All of them were immediately admitted to the hospital, where their condition remains critical. As soon as the rest came to know about the matter, there was chaos among the other candidates and officials present. The recruitment process was immediately stopped. The family members were informed and the police have also started investigation.

Vacancies were released for 144 posts

Gajapati SP Jatin Panda said that an advertisement was issued for 144 posts 2 months ago, in which more than 4000 candidates had registered their names, in which more than 1200 candidates were selected later. Physical test was held today. According to the guidelines, a 2 km race was being held, which male candidates had to complete in 10 minutes and female candidates in 12 minutes.

He said that the deceased Sulant Misal had also participated in the race and completed it. Immediately after completing the race, he complained of chest pain, after which he was admitted to the hospital. After examining him in the hospital, the doctor declared him dead. Apart from this, the health of five people also deteriorated, after which they were also admitted to the hospital. 1 candidate has been discharged from the hospital and the treatment of the rest is still going on. ” Although the exact cause of death has not been clear yet, but extreme heat, lack of water, and lack of physical preparation are being considered as possible reasons.
