Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia wished Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on his birthday and said the party chief is “fighting the toughest battle against dictatorship in the country.” Kejriwal is currently in jail and the party will organise several programmes on his birthday. Sisodia wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “Wishing a very happy birthday to Delhi Chief Minister, my dearest friend and political guru Arvind Kejriwal, who is fighting the toughest battle against the dictatorship going on in the country.”
Manish Sisodia said, “We are proud that we are soldiers of a patriot and revolutionary leader who chose to go to jail instead of kneeling before the dictator. Today, the country’s democracy is imprisoned in jail in the form of Arvind Kejriwal.”
Sisodia will do padyatra
The former deputy chief minister will also start his padyatra in the evening. ‘Arvind Kejriwal’ wrote on ‘X’, “Arvind Kejriwal is an idea, the more it is suppressed, the stronger it will become.” Delhi minister Atishi described Kejriwal as the “revolutionary of modern India” and expressed confidence that he would be released from jail soon. Atishi wrote on ‘X’, “Today is the birthday of modern India’s revolutionary Arvind Kejriwal, who changed the condition of Delhi with his governance model. He gave new hope to the people of Delhi with his politics of honesty.”
Kejriwal is in jail
She said, “Arvind, who shaped the future of millions of people by fighting dictatorship, is today in jail in a false case, but truth will prevail, the beloved Chief Minister of Delhiites will come out.” Arvind Kejriwal is also the national convener of AAP. Kejriwal is in Tihar jail in a money laundering case related to the alleged scam in Delhi’s excise policy. He was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21. He was arrested from jail by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in June.
Sisodia was in jail last year
Last year, on Arvind Kejriwal’s birthday, Manish Sisodia was in jail. At that time, Kejriwal remembered him and called him the father of Delhi’s education revolution. However, this time Sisodia is out and Kejriwal is inside the jail. In such a situation, Sisodia has posted for him.
