The Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab organized a grand Kirtan Darbar at Gurudwara Sri Rakabganj Sahib in Delhi on Saturday to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib. AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, along with other dignitaries from the Punjab government, participated in this sacred Kirtan Darbar. Kejriwal stated that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur’s sacrifice will continue to inspire us for centuries to protect truth, righteousness, and humanity.
Arvind Kejriwal also stated that the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is unparalleled in the history of humanity. He is also known as Hind Di Chadar. Kashmiri Pandits came to him and told him how the Mughal rulers of that time were attacking and invading the religion of the Kashmiri Pandits. To save those Kashmiri Pandits, Guru Tegh Bahadur Maharaj sacrificed everything and made the supreme sacrifice.

Starting October 25th to November 25th
During this period, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the main gathering commemorating the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib began today at the historic Gurdwara Sahib Rakabganj. Starting October 25th and continuing through the month until November 25th, the Punjab government will visit all the places where Guru Tegh Bahadur’s feet touched. During this period, large kirtan groups will perform divine kirtans, and the story of Guru Sahib’s martyrdom will be taught in schools and included in the syllabus. The villages where Guru Sahib touched his feet have already been contacted, and budgets have been released for their development.
Bhagwant Mann said that this gathering is being held in Delhi with the permission of the Sangat, as it was here that Lakhi Shah Banjara sheltered Guru Sahib in his home. Bhai Jaita Ji then carried Guru Sahib’s head to Anandpur Sahib on a stormy night. Paying tribute to Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das, and Bhai Dayala Ji, Bhagwant Mann said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s martyrdom was not only for the Sikhs, but also for humanity and human rights. Such an example is unparalleled anywhere.
Punjab Government to Organize Month-long Gatherings
Bhagwant Mann stated that the Punjab government will organize Gatherings throughout the month in Srinagar, Faridkot, Ferozepur, Bhatinda, and other places where Guru Sahib’s feet touched. On November 25th, a grand gathering will be held in Anandpur Sahib, the city founded by Guru Sahib. Kirtan will be performed, and great saints like Baba Balveer Singh Ji will be present. A grand museum has been constructed at Anandpur Sahib, showcasing the journey undertaken by Bhai Jaita Ji carrying the head of Guru Sahib and the event of presenting the head to Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Bhagwant Mann stated that Sikhism is the world’s newest and most vibrant religion, whose philosophy is to give to others and pave the way for everyone. Pilgrims on the Nishan Sahib Yatra receive langar and accommodation. There is no discrimination in Sikhism; God has created everyone equal. He thanked the Sangat and Arvind Kejriwal for attending the gathering. He stated that after November 25th, another gathering will be held at Chandni Chowk, where Guru Sahib was martyred.
Bhagwant Mann stated that a budget has been allocated for road construction and infrastructure at Guru Sahib’s shrines. A separate budget has been set aside for the 350th Martyrdom Day, and a tent city is being built at Anandpur Sahib. Invitations have been sent to all the Chief Ministers of the country, and an appointment has been made to meet the President on Monday.

Sikh Sangat Earns Fame Worldwide
Bhagwant Mann said that the Sikh community has earned fame worldwide through hard work and the grace of God. Referring to the 10th chapter of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, he said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s sacrifice and self-denial are unparalleled. Bhai Mati Das Ji was put on a Charkhi (charkhi), Bhai Sati Das was boiled, but Guru Sahib sacrificed his life for the love of God and humanity. No one goes to light a lamp at Aurangzeb’s grave, but the line of devotees in Anandpur Sahib, the Guru’s hometown, never breaks. This is the difference.
Bhagwant Mann said that listening to kirtan and paying obeisance at this sacred place brings peace and tranquility to the soul. This tribute is being paid even under the shadow of the law, sitting on the streets. For the first time, tribute was paid to Guru Sahib in Parliament. His sacrifice was not for personal gain, but for humanity and humanity. He appealed to the Sangat to travel from Delhi to Anandpur Sahib, pay their respects, and follow the path shown by Guru Sahib. Leave social evils and conflicts and devote yourself to the power and service of God.
A message of brotherhood, love, and affection to all.
Bhagwant Mann said that the people of Punjab will continue to seize the opportunity to serve and spread Guru Sahib’s inspiration to the masses. He prayed that their attendance would be accepted. Referring to the improvement of Gurdwaras and Guru Sahib’s places, he said that all deficiencies are being addressed. Budgets have been allocated for roads, infrastructure, and other facilities. Finally, he urged the Sangat to embrace Guru Sahib’s teachings and remember his martyrdom.
