Once again, all four engines of the BJP government drowned in the rain in Delhi, 7 people died in Jaitpur due to rain and waterlogging, AAP said- BJP government is a curse for Delhi

Once again, all four engines of the BJP government drowned in the rain in Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party has targeted BJP over the heavy waterlogging in entire Delhi including ITO, Punjabi Bagh, Saket, Dhaula Kuan, Pragati Maidan, Palam. Along with this, it has expressed grief over the death of seven people due to wall collapse in Jaitpur, Badarpur. AAP state president Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the four-engine government of BJP has been completely exposed in this rain.

The AAP leader said that every road of NDMC, PWD, MCD was flooded. The reason for this waterlogging is that corruption worth crores of rupees has taken place in the name of de-silting in Delhi. He said that the High Court has ordered that it is mandatory to get a third party audit done of the de-silting of all the drains, but the BJP government does not want to get a third party audit done. He asked what is the government afraid of in getting the audit done?.

‘Will the government be able to give back the lives of 7 people?’

Saurabh Bhardwaj said that on the day of Raksha Bandhan, brothers and sisters visit each other’s houses. But since this morning, the whole of Delhi is waterlogged, the roads are filled with water up to the knees. Vehicles are broken down everywhere, there is traffic jam and the whole festival has been ruined. He said that Jaitpur in Badarpur was waterlogged and seven people, including three men, two women and two children, died due to the collapse of the wall. Will the government be able to give them back their lives?

‘BJP left Delhi at the mercy of God’

The leader said that seven people died on the day of Rakhi, such devastation happened at many places but no minister of the government was seen anywhere. The Chief Minister and the PWD Minister did not come out on the road anywhere, nor did they try to help anywhere. The leader said that in Badarpur, where people died, neither the Chief Minister nor the LG reached there. These people are resting and have left Delhi at the mercy of God.

‘BJP government is a curse for Delhiites’

Saurabh Bhardwaj shared a photo of an event on social media in which CM Rekha Gupta was wearing a garland and said that on the day of Rakshabandhan, due to heavy rain and waterlogging, a wall collapsed in Jaitpur, Delhi and 7 people died after being buried under the debris. The dead included 3 men, 2 women and 2 girls. Attacking the BJP government, he said that wear the garland yourself and keep making others wear it. He said that the BJP government is becoming a curse for the people of Delhi. He said that a two and a half year old child died due to drowning in a manhole. Think, how much destruction an incompetent government has brought. He said that on Saturday morning itself he had told the CM that opening the manhole in the rain is a dangerous shortcut.

Saurabh Bhardwaj said on social media that the government of the ‘Republic of Minto Bridge’ should please pay attention to the neighboring countries as well. CM should pay attention. Get this checked. He said that it seems that the sewer manhole has been opened near the houses of MPs. This shortcut of drainage is not right. Due to this, toilets will back up in people’s houses. Toilet water will fill up the houses of MPs.

‘BJP government should provide boat facility’
The AAP leader said that it was published in the media that LG VK Saxena had directed to impose a penalty of Rs 500 crore on L&T for the poor construction of Pragati Maidan underpass. What happened to the penalty of Rs 500 crore? What happened to the investigation? He shared another video of water logging and said that on the day of Rakhi, such a big festival of Hindus, the BJP government should provide boat facility.

Manish Sisodia expressed grief over the Jaitpur accident
Meanwhile, senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia said on social media, ‘The accident that happened in Jaitpur, Delhi on a holy day like Rakshabandhan is very painful. He said that 7 precious lives were lost due to the wall collapse amid heavy rain and waterlogging, including 2 innocent girls. May God give peace to the departed souls and give the family the strength to bear this unbearable pain.

Atishi targeted Rekha government

Along with this, Leader of Opposition Atishi shared a video of waterlogging in Delhi and said, ‘This is the condition of Palam, Dhaula Kuan, Saket. There is water on the roads after a short rain. See the development of BJP’s 4-engine government. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and PWD Minister Pravesh Singh Verma are both missing. Today, even on Raksha Bandhan, the whole of Delhi is submerged. People are not able to come out of their homes. The poor system of Rekha Gupta government is not allowing brothers to meet their sisters.’

Atishi said about the incident of death of seven people due to wall collapse, ‘The mind is extremely saddened by this tragic accident. Condolences to the bereaved families. BJP’s four-engine government makes big claims but the truth is that people are losing their lives in Delhi. After the rain, there was waterlogging, due to which the wall collapsed and seven people lost their lives. Is there no value for the lives of the poor? The condition of Delhi becomes very bad even after a little rain.

AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha cornered the government over waterlogging

On the other hand, MLA Sanjeev Jha, while addressing a press conference at the AAP headquarters, said that it became difficult for people to come out of their homes due to two-three hours of rain in Delhi. Rakshabandhan festival was also on Saturday but the whole festival was spoiled. He said that after the formation of the government, the Chief Minister of Delhi was talking big. She had said that this time there will be no waterlogging anywhere in Delhi, we have marked those places where waterlogging occurs. A coordinator has been appointed at every hot spot, who will monitor it. But in two hours of rain, waterlogging occurred at many places in Delhi including ITO, 500 meters away from the Secretariat. The MLA said that the situation all around is such that if sisters go to their brothers’ house, they will have to take a boat.

‘Talking big things will not solve the problem’

Sanjeev Jha asked what happened to the hotspots that were marked, where one person was appointed at each place? .The Chief Minister of Delhi had said big things that if there is waterlogging, action will be taken against the concerned officials. How many were taken action against? Why is there waterlogging? He said that the High Court said that if the drains have been cleaned, then it should be audited and information should be given. Then why is it not being told how many drains were cleaned? The MLA said that despite his repeated letters, the big drains in Burari assembly constituency were not cleaned. He said that the problem will not be solved by just praising oneself and talking big.

Sanjeev Jha further said that due to rain and waterlogging, seven people died due to the collapse of walls in Jaitpur Colony of Badarpur. A child fell into the gutter in Alipur of Narela, because the pit is not visible after waterlogging. He said that there are so many such news which are not reaching us. After all, how many people will lose their lives due to the incompetence of the BJP government?

‘CM should tell when and how the problem will be solved’
The AAP MLA said that we repeatedly demanded a discussion in the assembly on the issue of waterlogging, but the BJP government ran away from the discussion. He said that the public has the right to know what steps the government took in the last 6 months to stop waterlogging or not? He said that the Chief Minister had made big promises to the public 6 months ago, but today due to his incompetence, the lives of the people of Delhi are in danger. He said that if he is a responsible Chief Minister, then he should tell when and how this problem will be solved?

‘The government’s only job is to lie, make reels’

Apart from this, AAP MLA Kuldeep Kumar also attacked the BJP government. He said that the situation of waterlogging is such that it is taking two and a half hours to reach New Delhi from Kondli. There is water on every road including ITO, Dhaula Kuan, Patparganj, NH-24. He said that the entire government has failed. The only work of the government is to lie and make reels. Kumar said that we demanded a discussion on waterlogging and law and order in the assembly but there was no discussion. He said that BJP will only bring its agenda, get false applause and then finish the work by raising slogans in support of PM Modi.

‘Now BJP has four engines, then…’
Kuldeep Kumar said that a person died due to electric shock near a drain in his assembly Kondli. He asked who is responsible for his death? Kumar said that now BJP has four engines. They are in power in MCD as well. If the drain of MCD is not cleaned, then the responsibility lies with BJP. If the drain of PWD is not cleaned, then also the responsibility lies with BJP. If the police did not do patrolling, then the responsibility lies with BJP, because the police is also with them. If it is the drain of DDA, then DDA is also with BJP. He said that they have everything, then what else should the people of Delhi give to BJP?.

AAP MLA Kuldeep Kumar said that this government of disaster in Delhi is looming as a disaster on the people today. He said that the people of Delhi are saying that they made a mistake by coming under the influence of BJP. They gave them a chance after 27 years, but now it seems that they are deciding the path for the next 27 years. He said that the people of Delhi have given BJP a chance, so now the government should work for them and get rid of the problem of waterlogging.
