Operation Sindoor: India blew up 9 locations in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Let us tell you where and how terrorist activities were carried out here.

The night of 7 May proved to be a nightmare for Pakistani terrorists. Terrorist hideouts have been blown up in many places in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Indian Army officially announced the missile attack several hours in advance and said that Operation Sindoor has been successfully carried out. This is a retaliatory action to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. India has made it clear that 9 terrorist hideouts have been destroyed. Training camps and headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen have also been blown up. Bhimber is also included in these hideouts. We will tell you whether Bhimber is in Pakistan or POK.

Where is Bhimber

Bhimber falls in POK. Bhimber district is a major city of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. It is adjacent to the border of Pakistan and Kashmir. India considers it its part. Bhimber is 48 km away from Mirpur and its distance from Srinagar is 241 km. Most of the people here speak Punjabi and Dogri (Pahari) languages. The total population of Bhimber is 461000. Bhimber district was established in 1996. Earlier it was a part of Mirpur district. During the Poonch rebellion of 1947 and the Indo-Pakistani War of 1947-1948, Bhimber was captured by Azad Kashmir rebels. Around the 13th century, Raja Sultan Khan Chib, a descendant of the royal Katoch family of Kangra, came and settled in Bhimber.

It is called ‘Bab-e-Kashmir’

Bhimber is also called ‘Bab-e-Kashmir’, the gateway to Kashmir. This is the reason why it has become a big hideout for terrorists. They easily enter Kashmir from here and carry out their nefarious designs. There are many hideouts of terrorists in this area and some training camps as well, where terrorists are trained to infiltrate India.

India showed restraint

Let us tell you, the action taken by India has been focused, measured and non-provocative. No Pakistani military establishment has been targeted. The Defense Ministry said that India has shown a lot of restraint in the selection of targets and the way of execution.
