Padma Awards ceremony will be held on 28 April at 6 pm at Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Draupadi Murmu approved 139 Padma Awards

This year, the Padma Awards were announced on the eve of Republic Day (26 January). Now, the Padma Awards distribution ceremony will be organized on 28 April at 6 pm in Rashtrapati Bhavan. Under this, the names of the personalities to be honored with Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri were announced. This year, President Draupadi Murmu has approved 139 Padma Awards. Which includes 7 Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan. Apart from this, 113 Padma Shri awards have also been announced. President Draupadi Murmu will honor the Padma award winners.

In this, 13 persons will get the Padma Award posthumously. Which also includes the names of Bhojpuri singer Sharda Sinha (posthumously), Justice (Retired) Jagdish Singh Khehar and Suzuki Company’s Osamu Suzuki (posthumously), Bibek Debroy, Sushil Modi and Manohar Joshi (posthumously). This time, there are 23 women among the awardees. The list includes 10 foreigners, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs.
