It is being told that 10 bombs and grenades were attacked simultaneously in the restive Balochistan province on Thursday. This created chaos in the entire area. One person died and several were injured as a result of this attack. The injured have been admitted to the hospital, the condition of many of them is critical.

But meanwhile, the attack on Thursday in the country’s restive Baluchistan province has exposed the security preparedness in Pakistan. Several police stations and Deputy Commissioner offices were targeted in the attacks, injuring six people, including a police officer and a jail warden, Dawn newspaper reported.

Bomb was placed on CPEC
A senior Pakistani official told the newspaper, “At least 10 bomb and grenade attacks took place across Balochistan, including the provincial capital Quetta.” According to Quetta’s SSP (Operations) Jawad Tariq, China-Pakistan clash in Quetta’s Spini area. A bomb was placed on the footpath on the Economic Cooperation (CPEC) Road, one of which exploded. Due to this a pedestrian died. According to officials, the intensity of the explosion was so high that many areas of the provincial capital were shaken. Police cordoned off the area and took the body to the civil hospital. Hospital officials said the victim’s body was mutilated due to his proximity to the bomb at the time of the explosion. The deceased was identified as an 84-year-old man.

8 kg explosive was used
SSP Tariq said that about 8 kg of explosives were used in the improvised explosive device. The target of the bomb was unknown, as there were no election campaign-related events scheduled in the vicinity. He said security was already on high alert due to the upcoming elections. In another attack near the outskirts of Quetta, an assistant sub-inspector Ghulam Raza was injured. Unidentified assailants threw a hand grenade at the Shalkot police station, which exploded in the courtyard. The station building and some vehicles in the parking area were damaged in the attack. The injured police officer was admitted to the civil hospital. In Mastung, the Central Jail was attacked with a hand grenade, which exploded inside the jail, causing damage to the building. The jail warden was injured in the attack.
