Islamabad: Pakistan’s troubled Balochistan province has once again been shaken by suspected terrorist attacks. Terrorists attacked sleeping workers from Punjab in Balochistan on Sunday. At least seven workers were killed during this. These workers who slept after working at night never saw another morning in their lives. This is the latest incident of targeted killing in Balochistan. Police said that these workers were engaged in the construction work of a house in Khuda-e-Abadan area of Panjgur town. Suspected terrorists carried out this attack when all the workers were sleeping under the same roof after working all day.
Police said that all were residents of Multan district of Punjab. Inspector General of Police Moazzam Jah Ansari told the newspaper ‘Dawn’, “Seven workers died on the spot in the firing and another was injured.” He said that the deceased have been identified as Sajid, Shafiq, Fayaz, Iftikhar, Salman, Khalid and Allah Wasia. No terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for this attack.
Pakistan police started investigation
Panjgur’s Senior Superintendent of Police Fazil Shah Bukhari said that this is a terrorist attack and investigation has been started. Pakistan President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif condemned this attack. The Prime Minister has also sought a report from Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti regarding this incident. Sharif reiterated his resolve to take every possible step to root out terrorism. Terrorists have been targeting workers from Punjab in Balochistan province. In August, terrorists killed at least 23 people in Musakhel of Balochistan province. Armed terrorists had made passengers get down from trucks and buses and shot them after asking for their identity.
