According to ARY News, as per the decision taken in the cabinet meeting, the ban on red carpet has been implemented as per the instructions of the Prime Minister. In the notification issued regarding this, it has been said that the red carpet will not be used exclusively for diplomatic receptions. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and cabinet members have collectively decided to forgo salaries and allowances.

He expressed confidence that the Commerce Ministry will take necessary steps to double the country’s exports during the tenure of the present government.
