Three throws of Neeraj Chopra were fouls
Neeraj Chopra threw a throw of 88.16 meters in his very first attempt, which proved to be his best throw in Paris Diamond League 2025. After this, in the second attempt, he threw a throw of 85.10 meters. Then the next three throws proved to be his fouls. In the sixth throw, he threw the javelin 82.89 meters away. Julian Weber could not throw the javelin that far. His best throw in Paris Diamond League 2025 was 85.10. That is why he had to be content with the second position. But not a single throw of Weber went foul. The third position was secured by Luiz Mauricio da Silva of Brazil. He threw 86.62 meters.
Revenged both the previous defeats
Julian Weber defeated Neeraj Chopra in the Doha Diamond League on May 16, in which Weber took the first place by throwing the last throw of 91.06 meters. Chopra finished second with a throw of 90.23 meters. 31-year-old Weber also defeated Chopra in the Janusz Kusosinki Memorial event in Poland on May 23. Weber threw 86.12 meters and Chopra threw 84.14 meters. Now Neeraj has also avenged the defeat of both of them.
Will participate in Golden Spike Athletics Meet
After the Paris Diamond League, Neeraj Chopra will participate in the Golden Spike Athletics Meet in Ostrava, Czech Republic from June 24. This event will be held in the Czech Republic. After this, Neeraj Chopra will play in the Neeraj Chopra Classic Tournament in Bengaluru on July 5. This tournament was postponed due to military tension between India and Pakistan.
