Patna: The dates for the Bihar Assembly elections have been announced. Following the announcement, leaders from all political parties are engaged in a blame game. Meanwhile, Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of former Bihar minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, on Saturday targeted his younger brother, Tejashwi Yadav. He expressed doubts about Tejashwi’s election promise that one person from every household would be given a government job if the Grand Alliance government was formed.

Candidates to be announced soon
After being expelled from the RJD, Tej Pratap Yadav recently formed his new party, the Jan Shakti Janata Dal. On Saturday, Tej Pratap Yadav said that the names of his party’s candidates would be announced in the next two days, and that it would be a “big announcement.” When reporters asked Tej Pratap Yadav about Tejashwi Yadav’s promise of “government jobs for every family,” Hasanpur MLA Tej Pratap Yadav replied, “First, let the RJD form the government.” Tej Pratap Yadav also remained silent on questions about National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders joining the RJD.

Tej Pratap Yadav to contest from Mahua seat
However, regarding his party’s plans, Tej Pratap Yadav said, “You will hear a big announcement the day after tomorrow. The names of my party’s candidates will be made public.” Furthermore, Tej Pratap Yadav avoided a direct answer to questions about a possible alliance with Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s party, AIMIM. He said, “Talks are ongoing with all kinds of parties; everyone will know when the time comes.” When reporters asked him which seat he would contest from, Tej Pratap sharply replied, “I have already said that I will contest from my old seat, Mahua.”
