Patna High Court takes action against AI video of PM Modi’s mother, ordered to be removed; Congress uploaded it

Patna: Acting Chief Justice P.B. Bajantri of the Patna High Court issued a significant directive. The court ordered the removal of an AI video created by the Congress party about the Prime Minister’s mother from all social media platforms. This directive was given during a hearing.

 

The petitioner states that objectionable material against PM Modi and his mother is being disseminated through social media platforms and online portals. Senior Supreme Court advocates Santosh Kumar, Sanjay Aggarwal, and Praveen Kumar, representing the petitioner, urged the court to direct the relevant agencies to immediately halt the dissemination of such material on all portals and ensure its removal.

 

Senior advocate Santosh Kumar, representing the petitioner, argued that false and defamatory comments targeting the Prime Minister and his mother were being systematically spread online. The court took a serious view of this and sought responses from the central and state governments.
