Patna: Padmashree Dulari Devi honored the artists by Padmashree Dulari Devi to artists Supriya Sinha, Mamta Jha, Vandana Kumari, Anshu Kumari, Seema Kumari, Pooja Jha, who came from various districts of Bihar at the Sari Exhibition New Pratibha event at Khadi Mall, Patna.

The Madhubani Sari Exhibition cum Sales Center organized by Bihar State Khadi Village Industries Board and Bihar Government today ended a grand completion at Khadi Mall, Patna. On this occasion, Padmashri, a resident of Madhubani, Bihar, respected artist Dulari Devi was present as the chief guest. He honored the artists presenting excellent live demo by giving appreciation certificates.

On this occasion, Padmashri Dulari Devi said in Maithili- Artists got the new platform from the event in Khadi Mall, but also the right direction and boost for the future for the future.

The purpose of organizing the encouragement of Mithila art
The purpose of this exhibition was to promote Bihar’s world famous traditional Mithila art and provide a platform to the artisans of Madhubani sarees, where they could display their excellent workmanship through live demo and also to sell. Under this initiative, people were highly appreciated by the people adorned with Madhubani painting, and a large number of buyers shopped by doing Mithila painting on their choice sarees.

Mithila Paintings Dulari Devi

The event lasted from 15 February to 23 February 2025. Artists from various districts of Bihar Supriya Sinha, Mamta Jha, Vandana Kumari, Anshu Kumari, Seema Kumari, Pooja Jha presented the live demo of Mithila painting for the entire 9 days. Padmashree Dulari Devi honored these artists.

Enthusiasm among artists from all over Bihar
Assistant Accounts Officer of the Board Abhay Singh said- This exhibition received tremendous response from customers. Customers from local consumers as well as other states in the mall participated in it. The event not only promoted the rich cultural heritage of Bihar, but also played an important role in the economic empowerment of local artisans and weavers.

Artisans get a big stage
At the concluding occasion, the manager of the mall, Ramesh Chaudhary said- Bihar State Khadi Village Industries Board will continuously strive to promote Khadi and Handicrafts and to recognize local artisans at national and international level through such events.
