Peshawar: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan has finally been forced to bow down to current PM Shahbaz Sharif. This claim has been made by senior Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Junaid Akbar. Junaid has said that former Prime Minister Imran Khan is ready to hold reconciliation talks with the government of Pakistan or any institution, but he cannot be forced at gunpoint. Let us tell you that Imran Khan has been in jail for about 2 years. Many types of cases are going on against him.

Akbar, leader of Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, while talking to the media on Thursday said that the former Prime Minister has made it clear that he is ready to talk to anyone for the purity of the constitution and law, but he cannot be forced at gunpoint. Khan has been lodged in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi since August 2023. Several cases have been registered against him after his government was toppled in April 2022.

Who said our doors are open

Akbar said, “Our doors are always open for talks, but if someone thinks that by filing a case against Khan Sahab and our workers and sending them to jail, he will forcibly impose his will on us, then it is his illusion.” Akbar also said that institutions should work within their legal limits and political parties should also do the same. He said, “We are ready to talk to the government or institutions to maintain the constitution and law.” On the protests for Khan’s release, Akbar said, “This is not just Khan Sahab’s issue; it is a national issue. The gap between institutions and the public has increased a lot. We repeatedly emphasize the need for strong institutions supported by the public.
