Petrol down by Rs 15 since November 2021
Including the reduction made on March 15, petrol has become cheaper by Rs 15 and diesel by Rs 17 per liter from November 2021. The government last changed the prices of petrol and diesel on 21 May 2022. At that time, the government had reduced the excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 per liter and on diesel by Rs 6 per liter. Due to this, petrol was reduced by Rs 9.5 and diesel by Rs 7 per liter.
Hardeep Singh Puri further wrote that, who was the leader of Vasudha, who was the land-winner, who was the buyer of incomparable fame, who was the pioneer of new religion, who never rested, who made a name by living in difficulties. He said that these few lines of the poem written by great poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar show the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards his family.
The biggest oil crisis in 50 years
The Petroleum Minister further wrote in his post that when the world was going through difficult times, the prices of petrol increased by 50-72 percent in developed and developing countries and in many countries around us petrol was no longer available. Also, despite the biggest oil crisis in 50 years since 1973, PM Modi’s family remained unaffected due to his visionary and intuitive leadership. Instead of increasing, petrol prices in India have decreased by 4.65 percent in the last two and a half years.
Petrol and diesel prices did not increase
Not only this, the supply of fuel in India remained at cheap prices and we also continued to move towards green energy. That means India maintained energy availability, affordability and stability. The minister wrote that India was the only country where the prices of petrol and diesel have not increased, but have decreased.
Purchase of crude oil from 39 countries
He wrote that before 2014, we used to buy crude oil from 27 countries, but under his leadership, we expanded this scope to provide cheap petrol, diesel and gas to our countrymen and now we buy from 39 countries to meet the needs of Modi’s family. Buy crude oil. But even today, look at the price of petrol in India compared to many countries.
Comparison of India with other countries
On Thursday, March 14, petrol in India is on an average Rs 94 per liter in terms of rupees, but in Italy it is Rs 168.01 i.e. 79 percent more, in France it is Rs 166.87 i.e. 78 percent more, in Germany it is Rs 159.57 i.e. 70 percent more and in Spain it is Rs 145.13. That means it is 54 percent more. And if we compare the diesel prices in the same way, then if India’s average is Rs 87 per liter, then in Italy it is Rs 163.21 i.e. 88 percent more, in France it is Rs 161.57 i.e. 86 percent more, in Germany it is Rs 155.68 i.e. 79 percent more and in Spain it is Rs 138.07. That means it is 59 percent more.
Fuel supply to every citizen
The minister said that no matter what is happening around the world, under the leadership of PM Modi, we make every effort to ensure fuel supply to every corner of the country and to every citizen. Even today, although the crisis continues in the Red Sea, as soon as there was some relief in the international prices of crude oil, the Prime Minister immediately gave another gift to his family by reducing the prices of petrol and diesel.
Not only this, Prime Minister Modi reduced the central excise on petrol and diesel on two occasions in November 2021 and May 2022 and ensured that BJP ruled states passed this relief directly to Modi’s family by reducing the VAT rate. This is the reason that even today there is a difference of about Rs 15 in petrol prices and about Rs 11 in diesel prices between BJP ruled states and other states.
Targeted the opposition
In the first two times, by reducing excise, the prices of petrol were reduced by Rs 13 per liter and diesel by Rs 15 per liter. After today’s cut, there has been a total reduction of Rs 15 in petrol prices and a total reduction of Rs 17 in diesel prices from November 2022 till now. He wrote that even when we reduced the price of cylinder to Rs 503 for the sisters of the Ujjwala family, some parties condemned this step but still did not reduce the VAT in the states ruled by them. Those who criticize PM Modi and India every now and then and make false claims of welfare of the poor, those who are still selling petrol at a cost of Rs 15, should bow their heads in shame.
