PM Modi’s high level meeting, Rajnath Singh-Ajit Doval along with the chiefs of the three armies were also present

After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the central government is continuously seen in action mode. After imposing several restrictions on Pakistan, a high-level meeting was called on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for further strategy. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan are present in this meeting.

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi are also present in the meeting. In this important meeting, the security situation after the Pahalgam attack, the ongoing operations against terrorists and future strategy were discussed in detail.

According to the information, in this meeting being held at the Prime Minister’s residence, the circumstances of the attack, the action of the security forces and the future strategy are being discussed in detail. According to sources, the Prime Minister has given instructions to take strict action against the culprits of the Pahalgam attack. He also asked to ensure that there is no lapse in the security of Amarnath Yatra and other civilian activities.

 

Let us tell you that 26 people lost their lives in the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. Apart from this, dozens of people were also injured. It is considered to be one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in recent years. After the attack, security agencies have been put on high alert in the valley. The search for the terrorists involved in the attack is on. For this, the security forces are combing from place to place. Pakistan has been behind this attack. After this, the Indian government decided to impose many restrictions on Pakistan.

Indus Water Treaty also suspended

After the Pahalgam attack, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi suspended the Indus Water Treaty with immediate effect. This is the first time that India has taken such a big and strict action. There have been three major wars between India and Pakistan but this treaty has never been suspended before. Regarding the decisions taken in the Cabinet Committee meeting, the Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement saying that the Indus Water Treaty of 1960 has been suspended with immediate effect. This ban will remain until Pakistan stops supporting cross-border terrorism.
