Prayagraj: Ganga Nagar Police of Prayagraj in UP has started ‘Operation Mitti’ against illegal mining. On the first day of this operation, ADCP Pushkar Verma along with his entire team raided Sarai Mamarez at midnight and caught 11 people red handed while illegally mining soil. During this, the police also seized JCB, tractor and many bikes. This operation has created panic among the mining mafia.

In the Ganga Par area of ​​​​Prayagraj, the mafia was continuously selling the soil by illegally mining it with JCB. When Pushkar Verma received the complaint of illegal soil mining, he first got a secret investigation done at his level. The investigation revealed that the mining was true. To catch the miners red handed, IPS Pushkar Verma formed a team of 30 policemen by taking force from other police stations in addition to the police station force.

5 JCBs, 8 tractors, 3 bikes also seized

ADCP Pushkar Verma along with his team raided Sarai Mamarez after midnight and surrounded the mining area and arrested 11 people. 5 JCBs, 8 tractors, 3 bikes were also seized from the spot. The police interrogated the arrested people in which the names of many mining mafias have come to the fore. However, after this raid, many mining mafias fled from their homes.

Strict action will be taken against those mining soil

Pushkar Verma said that many information about mining has been found during interrogation of the arrested people. It is being investigated. More arrests will be made soon. Pushkar Verma said that this operation was kept very confidential. Due to this, these miners were caught red-handed.
