Rio de Janeiro: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Brazil. He has attended the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro. PM Modi held bilateral talks with Chilean President Gabriel Boric on the sidelines of the G20 summit. PM Modi tweeted, “Met Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font in Rio de Janeiro. India’s relations with Chile are getting stronger in various fields. Our talks focused on how to deepen ties in pharmaceuticals, technology, space and other areas. It is a pleasure to see that Ayurveda is gaining popularity in Chile. This is also an area where relations can gain momentum.”
Meeting of Argentine President and PM Modi
After talks with Chilean President Gabriel Boric, bilateral talks were held between PM Modi and Argentine President Javier Miley. Regarding the meeting, PM Modi said, “Had a wonderful meeting with Argentine President Javier Miley. India cherishes close friendship with Argentina. Our strategic partnership has completed 5 years, which has brought a lot of vibrancy to bilateral relations. We talked about enhancing relations in energy, defence production, trade and culture.”
PM Modi to visit Guyana
Earlier on Monday, Prime Minister Modi was warmly welcomed by President Lula at the G20 summit venue. Modi along with Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden are among the leaders attending the Rio de Janeiro summit on November 18-19. From Brazil, PM Modi will visit Guyana at the invitation of President Mohamed Irfaan Ali. This will be the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Guyana in more than 50 years.
