PM Modi Qatar Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Qatar late Wednesday evening after a two-day visit to UAE. He held important discussions on many bilateral issues in the meeting with the Prime Minister of Qatar in the capital Doha. He arrived in Qatar from UAE after inaugurating the grand inauguration of a Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday evening. This visit of PM Modi is very important after the recent news of remission of death sentence in Qatar and 8 Indians returning back to India safely. PM Modi had made continuous efforts for the return of Indians.
This is Modi’s second visit to Qatar after becoming Prime Minister.
PM Modi is on a visit to Qatar for the second time after becoming the Prime Minister. Earlier he had visited Qatar in 2016. After the meeting with the Emir of Qatar, PM Modi said in a post on ‘X’ that
The conversation with Prime Minister Al Thani was excellent. We discussed further strengthening the friendship between India and Qatar. Earlier, the Indian Foreign Ministry said that PM Modi had very successful talks with the Prime Minister of Qatar.
Issues of business, investment and finance were discussed in the meeting.
In this regard, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that PM Modi had talks on many issues with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Finance Minister Al Thani in the capital Doha. This included issues like trade and investment, energy, finance. Earlier, PM Modi, who reached Doha, was welcomed by Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi at the airport.
Dinner in honor of PM Modi
During his two-day visit, PM Modi attended a dinner hosted in his honor by the Prime Minister of Qatar. On Thursday, he will meet the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and discuss various regional and global issues with him.
