Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Raipur and met 2500 children suffering from heart disease and who have been successfully treated under the ‘Dil Ki Baat’ programme at a function organised at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the capital Raipur on Saturday. He participated in a ceremony held at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. During the ceremony, he met 2,500 children suffering from heart disease and who had received successful treatment under the “Dil Ki Baat” program. During the ceremony, PM Modi posed a number of questions and answers to these innocent children.

PM Modi asked a girl about her aspirations.
A young hockey champion told PM Modi that she had won five medals. She was diagnosed with heart disease during a school checkup. She underwent surgery six months ago and is now playing hockey. When the Prime Minister asked about her aspirations, she said she wanted to become a doctor and treat all children. She expressed her happiness at meeting Prime Minister Modi for the first time.

Another girl said she had undergone surgery a year ago and also wanted to become a doctor and serve everyone. PM Modi asked if she had cried during her treatment, to which she replied no. He recited an inspiring poem, which PM Modi praised.

Heart surgery at 14 months old
A child explained that he underwent heart surgery in 2014 at the age of 14 months and is now healthy and active in cricket. The Prime Minister asked if he gets regular checkups and was pleased to learn that he does and has no health problems. The child said he plays cricket regularly.

When the PM asked if the injections were painful
While interacting with another young boy, PM Modi asked how he felt about going to the hospital and receiving the injections. He explained that he was not afraid, which helped him recover quickly. When asked about the reaction of his teachers, he said that they praise his studies.

When a child told PM Modi he wanted to become a soldier
Another girl said she studies in Class 7 and wants to become a teacher to provide free education to poor children, believing that education leads to the nation’s development. A child named Abhik from West Bengal shared his dream of serving the country by joining the army. PM Modi asked why? Abhik replied that he wants to protect the country like soldiers.

Advice on Regular Sleep and Yoga
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his pleasure in interacting with the children and emphasized that a healthy body is essential for accomplishing any good work. He advised the children to maintain their health through yoga and regular sleep. He urged the children to be conscious of their health and called for their commitment to this practice.
