The people of Delhi are voting to elect their representatives in the 18th Lok Sabha. Voting is being held in all 7 seats of Delhi since 7 am. This time some new voters are also coming to vote.
Similarly, children of Robert Vadra and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have voted for the first time. Priyanka Gandhi’s children reached a polling booth in Delhi and used their vote. However, this first vote of theirs will not be included in the account of Congress party.
Robert Vadra and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s son Rehan Rajiv Vadra and daughter Miraya Vadra both reached the polling booth together to cast their vote. Both brother and sister were seen standing in the queue. Both are first time voters. They voted at the polling booth of New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. They could not cast their first vote for Congress, because under the INDI alliance, the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat has gone to the account of Congress’s ally Aam Aadmi Party. Accordingly, Congress has not fielded its candidate. Somnath Bharti of Aam Aadmi Party is contesting from here. Somnath Bharti is pitted against Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Bansuri Swaraj on the New Delhi seat.
Priyanka’s children appeal to people to vote
After casting his vote, Rehan Rajiv Vadra told ANI that I think this is a very important election. I urge all the youth to vote to save our constitution and vote in a way that brings positive change. Meanwhile, Miraya Vadra urged that everyone should come out and vote. She said, ‘Don’t sit idle and bring change.’
BJP vs INDI alliance battle in Delhi
In an interesting contest in the national capital Delhi, AAP and Congress are jointly fighting against BJP. BJP had won all 7 Lok Sabha seats in the national capital in the last two elections. This time too BJP is contesting on all 7 seats. While Congress is contesting on 3 seats in the national capital, AAP is contesting on four seats.
