Pune: A shocking case has come to light from Pune, Maharashtra. Here a friend brutally murdered his friend and cut his body into pieces and threw them into two wells. Police have recovered the body and arrested the accused.

What is the whole case?

A 19-year-old youth was arrested in a village in Ahilyanagar district of Maharashtra for killing his friend studying in class 12. A minor was also detained in this case. Police gave this information on Tuesday.

Police said that the student’s body was cut into pieces and thrown into two wells. The accused suspected that the student had defamed them over their intimacy, due to which this incident was carried out. He said that the deceased has been identified as Mouli Gavhane, a resident of Danewadi in Shrigonda tehsil.

The officer said that he left home to take the HSC examination in Pune on March 6 and was reported missing since then. An official of the Ahilyanagar crime branch said, “When he did not return home, his parents lodged a missing person’s complaint at the police station.”

He said, “On March 12, a mutilated leg and torso were found in a well near Danewadi village. The next day, a head and two hands were found in a sack in another well nearby.” Police said that the investigation revealed the role of two suspects, including a minor, who are close friends of Gavhane. According to the police, they allegedly killed Gavhane with a sword and then chopped his body into pieces and threw the remains in the well. (Input: Bhasha)
