Punjab: After losing the Delhi assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab has started a round of transfers. Orders have been issued regarding the transfer posting of senior police officers. SSPs of many districts including Jalandhar Police Commissioner have been changed.

IPS Jyoti Yadav Khanna, wife of Punjab Cabinet Minister Harjit Bains, has been appointed to the post of SSP. Jalandhar Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma has been transferred.

21 police officers of Punjab transferred

Ludhiana Range IGP Dhanpreet Kaur IPS will take over the post of Jalandhar Police Commissioner. Swapan Sharma has been posted as DIG Ferozepur Range. The list of transfer of 21 officers has been released by the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab on Friday (21 February).
