Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday questioned the credibility of exit polls and claimed that the agencies conducting exit polls are only trying to create an atmosphere in favour of the BJP. Addressing a press conference ahead of the counting of votes on June 4, Yadav said, “The victory of the Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance will be the victory of the country and the people.” Yadav said, “We and you (media) were among the people to strengthen democracy. We all have seen that there were no people in their (BJP) rallies, their tents were empty. The mood of the public was visible throughout the election… there was nothing in their favour.”

Yadav said, “Exit poll says that BJP is winning maximum seats in Uttar Pradesh. I have conducted an internal survey in which also good figures are showing for us. Our exit poll says that India alliance is winning maximum seats.” When asked that the voting percentage figures are increasing after the completion of the voting process, Yadav said, “Election Commission should answer this. I hope the commission will follow all the rules.” He also asked the Election Commission to provide security arrangements for the agents. He said, “The administration is theirs (BJP), so when BJP looks weak, it will try to threaten the agents.”

Exit polls indicate NDA getting a huge majority

He said that he has all the information of the vote poll and Form-17C, because he knows that BJP can conspire.
