Chhattisgarh News: A joint team of ACB and EOW has raided Bastar, Sukma and Dantewada districts. The raids have been conducted at the residences of government officials and businessmen. Early Sunday morning, raids were conducted at the Jagdalpur residence of Assistant Commissioner of Tribal Development Bijapur Anand Jeet Singh and the government bungalow in Dantewada. Anand Jeet Singh’s relatives also came under the ambit of the action. The agencies have raided the house of a relative in Jagdalpur.

Three different teams raided the government bungalow of IFS Ashok Kumar Patel. Ashok Kumar is posted as DFO in Sukma district. The team reached the house of teacher Bhanu Pratap Singh Chauhan posted as Konta cluster coordinator in Sukma to conduct a raid. The team also raided the house of Chhindgarh resident teacher and former DPM Shyam Sundar alias Bablu Chauhan. The ACB and EOW teams are engaged in investigation since morning.

Raids in Bastar, Sukma and Dantewada

It is being told that information was received about the officials and businessmen having assets disproportionate to their income. In the morning, separate teams of EOW and ACB reached the locations to search. According to the information, the raid action is being carried out with the help of police. DFO Ashok Kumar Patel was suspended by the government a few days ago for irregularities in the distribution of tendu leaves bonus. It is being told that Anand Jeet Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Tribal Development in Bastar, Dantewada and Bijapur, was also on the radar of ACB.

Joint action of ACB and EOW

Now EOW has also joined the action with ACB. The first team reached the house located in Dharampura, Jagdalpur to raid. A team also reached the government bungalow in Dantewada. The house of Anand Jeet Singh’s close aide located in Bailabazar, Jagdalpur is also under the purview of action. Bhanu Pratap Singh Chauhan, posted as a teacher and cluster coordinator in Konta block, was also on the radar of ACB. ACB had information about disproportionate assets.

The team was gathering information for the last several days. It is being told that Bhanu Pratap Chauhan is the brother of Shyam Sundar Chauhan, a resident of Chhindgarh block. The team raided the houses of both the brothers. Bhanu Pratap and Bablu Chauhan are both teachers. Bablu Chauhan has also been a former DPM. Bhanu Pratap Singh Chauhan is currently the cluster coordinator. At present, the ACB team is investigating the hideouts of both.
