The people of a village in Gangardatali Panchayat Samiti of Banswara, Rajasthan had adopted Christianity years ago, but now they have returned to Hinduism again. They have started the process of converting the 125-year-old church in their village into a temple and it is being inaugurated on Sunday, March 9. The people of this village have taken this decision after being influenced by the Sanatan wind emanating from the Maha Kumbh held in Prayagraj after 144 years. The priest of this church has also returned to Hinduism.
Gautam Garasiya, who once worked as a priest in the church, has also returned to Hinduism. He told that after the Sanatan culture flowing in the country and the state and the message received from the Maha Kumbh, where the people of this village had earlier adopted Christianity, now they are adopting Hinduism again. Along with this, the 125-year-old church built in the village is being changed and a temple of Bhairav ji is being built and the walls are also being painted.
The whole village had adopted Christianity
He further said that years ago, influenced by Christian missionaries, the people of the whole village had adopted Christianity, but now the feeling of Sanatan culture has arisen in their minds again and they have turned towards Sanatan culture. Now about 200 families of the village are adopting Hinduism again and establishing a temple of Bhairav ji here.
People are returning to Sanatan Dharma
Taking inspiration from Bharat Mata Mandir, this is the first such event in this tribal area. Influenced by this, it is likely that in the coming days, many more villagers, who have adopted Christianity, will return to their homes towards Sanatan. That is, they will adopt Hinduism again. Currently, the people of village Sudladudha of Gangardatali Panchayat Samiti have adopted Hinduism and have made the church a temple and inaugurated it.
