Rajasthan: After an adult boy and girl get married voluntarily, if they are harassed by family members and people of caste and society, the couple should contact the state level helpline number.

Rajasthan Police has issued helpline numbers at the state level and district level for the assistance and safety of adult boys and girls who marry voluntarily. An officer gave this information.

Family members and people of caste-society will not be able to harass
Shweta Dhankhar, Deputy Inspector General of Police Armed Battalion, has been appointed as its nodal officer and Additional Superintendent of Police, Women Atrocities Prevention Cell, Civil Rights, Jaipur Navita Khokhar has been appointed as the assistant nodal officer. Dhankhar said in a statement that after an adult boy and girl get married voluntarily, if they are harassed or take inappropriate action by family members or people of caste and society, the couple can contact the state level helpline number. Similarly, at the district level, police control room numbers and appointed district nodal officers can be contacted on their mobile numbers.

The mobile numbers and helpline numbers of nodal officers have been issued by the Police Headquarters. Police protection or related assistance will be provided to the couple contacting the helpline number. At the state level, complainants can contact numbers 9413179228 and 9468952823.
