Rajasthan: Fighter jet crashes during Bharat Shakti exercise in Jaisalmer district, fighter jet fell on the roof of Bhil Meghwal Hostel, pilot saved his life by jumping from the fighter jet.

A major accident took place in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan on Tuesday. Fighter jet crashes in Jaisalmer during Bharat Shakti exercise. The incident of crash of fighter jet took place near Jawahar Colony. Where at 2 o’clock in the afternoon the fighter jet fell on the roof of Bhil Meghwal Hostel and turned into a ball of fire. Somehow the pilot saved his life by jumping from the fighter jet. A court of inquiry has been ordered to find out the cause of the accident.

Giving more information about this matter, the Indian Air Force said that the Tejas fighter jet involved in the Bharat Shakti Yudh exercise fell on the hostel of Bhil community, 2 kilometers away from the city. However, the hostel was vacant at the time of the incident. It hasn’t caused much damage. This accident took place about 100 km away from the ongoing war exercise site in Pokhran.

Pilot admitted to hospital
The army said that there was only one pilot in the fighter plane. He has been sent to the Army Hospital. Where he is being treated. After the sudden explosion, panic has spread in the entire area. The fire department vehicle reached the spot and extinguished the fire in the fighter jet. After the accident the hostel building also collapsed. A large number of local people gathered.
