Rajasthan Fire Accident:Five people were killed and two others were injured in a fire that broke out at a chemical factory in Bassi near Jaipur on Saturday evening. According to officials, the incident was caused by an explosion in the factory’s boiler.
Jaipur District Collector Prakash Rajpurohit told the media, “Five people died on the spot due to explosion in the boiler of a factory in Bassi. Two burnt people have been brought here to SMS Hospital. They are also badly burnt. Doctors are trying their best to give them better treatment.
No shortage will be allowed in treatment.” He said that this accident happened at around 6:30 in the evening and a thorough investigation will be done. Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph said that five people died on the spot due to the fire. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has also expressed grief over the accident. He wrote on ‘X’, “The death of citizens due to the accident of fire in a chemical factory in Bassi near Jaipur is very sad. The concerned officials have been instructed to immediately reach the spot and conduct relief and rescue operations quickly and provide all possible help to the affected.” After the incident, local people gathered at the spot and started demanding action against the factory owner. The factory owner is absconding.
