Rajasthan: Four people, including a woman, were killed and four others were seriously injured in a head-on collision between a Bolero car and a trailer in Churu district.

Churu: Four members of the same family were killed on the spot and four others were seriously injured in a tragic road accident in the Sandwa police station area of ​​Churu district, Rajasthan, on Friday evening. The accident occurred around 5:30 PM near a college between Katar and Tehandesar, when a Bolero and a trailer collided head-on.

Bodies Extricated with Difficulty

Station House Officer Chauthmal said that the Bolero was going from Sandwa towards Lalgarh (Churu), while the trailer was coming from Nokha (Bikaner) towards Sandwa. The collision was so severe that the Bolero was completely destroyed, and the occupants were trapped inside. With the help of the police and local residents, the bodies were extricated after considerable effort.

All Deceased and Injured Belong to the Same Family

Those killed in the accident were identified as Ummed Singh (55), Prahlad Singh (35), Raju Kanwar (35), wife of Madan Singh, and Dilip Singh (25), a resident of Shyamsar (Nagaur). Madan Singh Rajput, Bhairon Singh, Narayan Singh, and Prem Singh were seriously injured. The injured were initially taken to the Sandwa Primary Health Center (PHC), where, after receiving first aid, they were referred to Bikaner due to their critical condition. It is reported that all the deceased and injured are members of the same family and were on their way to mediate a family dispute.

Trailer Driver Absconds

After the accident, the trailer went off the road, and the trailer driver fled the scene. The police removed the damaged vehicles from the road to restore traffic flow. The bodies of the deceased have been kept in the mortuary of the Sandwa PHC. In this tragic accident, Madan Singh lost his wife Raju Kanwar and his brother Prahlad Singh, while he himself and his son Bhairon Singh are seriously injured. Upon receiving information about the incident, Sujangarh ASP Dinesh Kumar also reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
