A strange case came to light from a government school in Jodhpur where a Muslim student was sent back home for not following the school uniform. The case pertains to the Government Higher Secondary School of Pipar, where despite making uniform mandatory in schools, some Muslim girl students did not follow it, due to which they were sent back home. The school administration says that the girl students reached school wearing hijab instead of wearing school uniform, after which this action was taken.
The school administration said that direct orders have been given by the government that children are required to come to school in uniform. In such a situation, if the students did not follow this, they were sent back home. At the same time, the parents of the children allege that the school teachers made controversial comments to the children regarding their uniform. Parents alleged that teachers have called children dacoits of Chambal, which is absolutely unfair.
‘It’s just a mask’ – parent
Parents say that the students only had a scarf tied on their head, which is not included in hijab. It is just in the form of a mask. Can no person wear a mask for his health protection? It was tied on the heads of children in the same way as a mask. It is wrong to call it hijab.
