A surprising case has come to light in Dungarpur, Rajasthan. Here, on the wedding anniversary, the husband and wife planned to commit suicide. Both of them first wrote two suicide notes in Gujarati language. Then he tried to commit suicide by hanging himself in the hotel room but he survived. Later the husband strangled his wife to death. He himself cut the vein of his hand. He reached the police station in a bloody condition. He told the entire incident to the police.
The husband and wife had planned suicide because of debt. The couple ran a travel agency in Gujarat. He had a debt of about Rs 26 lakh. Police recovered the body of the deceased woman from the hotel room and sent it for post-mortem. Meanwhile, the injured husband is undergoing treatment in the hospital. The police is investigating the entire matter.
‘My wife’s dead body is lying in room number 702’
The incident took place in Bichiwada police station area of Dungarpur district. Police station officer Ashok Kumar said that Akshay Bhai, a resident of Ramol in New Maninagar area of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, had reached Sikligar police station in a bleeding condition. The veins of both his hands were cut. The police took him to the hospital and got him treated. When he was interrogated, he was told that the body of his wife Jyoti Ben Siklighar was lying in room number 702 of the hotel near Ratanpur border. When the police reached the spot and saw the hotel, the wife’s dead body was lying in the room.
Made suicide plan on wedding anniversary
Police interrogation revealed that Ashok runs a travel agency in Gujarat with his wife. The whole family was troubled due to loss in business. Their wedding anniversary was on 5th February. On this day, both husband and wife together made a plan to commit suicide. For this he had taken a room in a hotel near Ratanpur border. At night, both of them ordered food and ate it in the room. After celebrating their wedding anniversary, both of them attempted suicide.

Police told that first wife Jyoti sister asked her to commit suicide. She first tried to commit suicide by hanging herself but she was not successful. Husband Akshay strangled her to death with a chunni. After his wife’s death, he cut the veins of both his hands. When he started bleeding, he got scared and reached the police station in the same condition.
