Rajasthan: In Osia of Jodhpur district, teachers locked an 8-year-old student in a school room, beat him and made him drink dirty drain water, report filed

A case of an 8-year-old student being locked in a school room and beaten has come to light in Osia, Jodhpur district of Rajasthan. The school teachers locked the student in a room, beat him and made him drink dirty drain water. When the family came to know about this, the angry family members lodged a report in Osian police station. Along with this, the father has written a letter to Education Minister Madan Dilawar demanding an investigation and action against the culprits.

The student’s father Asuram told the police in his complaint that his 8-year-old son studies in class 4 in a private school in Osia. On February 12, when his son returned from school at 5 pm, he silently went and lay down on the bed in the room. After a while, when he started changing his school uniform, the family members saw deep injuries on the student’s body. The injuries were so deep that there was no skin over the injury marks. When the body was carefully examined, there were injury marks on the student’s mouth and back and blood was flowing from the nose.

Student made to drink urine in school
When the father asked the student about the injury, the child said that Papa would have killed me today. Today Sir and Bade Sir took me to a closed room and beat me with belts, sticks and slaps so much that I fainted there. They made me drink dirty water and the water smelled like urine. They locked me in a room for about two hours and threatened me. They said that if I tell anyone, they will kill me. I remained silent.

Manager threatened the family
The student’s father said that he tried to talk to the school manager but he did not pick up the phone. Then on calling repeatedly, someone else picked up the phone instead of the school manager and asked what happened, you beat me up, then he said this and disconnected the call. The next day, a call came from the school manager and he said that if any action is taken against me, I will spoil your child’s future, I will not give TC. Even if I give TC, I will make a note. He also threatened that I also have a gang of goons, I will get all of you treated by them.

The police have filed a report in the entire matter and are investigating further. Apart from the police station, the student’s father has also written a letter to the subdivision officer and Education Minister Madan Dilawar demanding strict action against the culprits.
