Rajasthan Intelligence has arrested Mangat Singh, a resident of Alwar, for spying for Pakistan’s ISI. He was arrested under the Official Secrets Act, 1923. Mangat had been in contact with two Pakistani numbers for the past year, sending them key information about the army, including the Alwar Army Cantonment.
He received large sums of money from Pakistan on several occasions in exchange for sending information. He was still in contact with them and continued to share information. Intelligence investigations revealed that one number was linked to the honey trap, while the other number is from Pakistan. The investigation is ongoing.
Arrested on October 10
After Operation Sindoor, Rajasthan Intelligence intensified surveillance. During surveillance of the Alwar cantonment area, the activities of Mangat Singh, a resident of Govindgarh, Alwar, were found suspicious. For the past two years, Mangat Singh had been in contact with handlers of the Pakistani intelligence agency through social media. Mangat also provided numerous information to Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.
Mangat Singh was arrested on October 10th. He was interrogated jointly by several agencies. During this period, several crucial evidence was recovered from his mobile phone. Police are currently investigating the information recovered from the mobile phone.
Received money in exchange for information
Intelligence DIG Rajesh Meel stated that Mangat Singh had been in contact with two Pakistani numbers for a long time. He was regularly sending them information related to the army. This practice was still ongoing. He was receiving substantial sums of money in exchange for this. He has received numerous money transfers. He is being continuously interrogated, and significant revelations are emerging during the interrogation.
The investigation so far has revealed that the agent working for Pakistan has sent information about various areas of the army, including the Alwar Army Headquarters, to Pakistan’s ISI. He has also sent several important information related to the army.
The case is also linked to a honey trap
It has been revealed in Rajasthan that Mangat Singh has received substantial sums of money from the ISI and Pakistan for espionage. Intelligence agencies are investigating how often and through what channels the money reached Mangat Singh. The investigation revealed that Mangat Singh was also involved in a honey trap and was also sending important information to the army through it.
