Rajasthan: Members of Sarva Hindu Samaj, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal on Tuesday demonstrated at several places and demanded action against Samajwadi Party (SP) Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Lal Suman for his comments on Mewar ruler Rana Sanga. Protests were held at several places including Jaipur, Bikaner, Ajmer on this issue. The protesters also burnt the effigy of the MP in Bikaner. They also submitted a memorandum addressed to the Vice President to a district administration official in Jaipur, demanding action against the Rajya Sabha member.
VHP national spokesperson Amitosh Pareek said, “Vishwa Hindu Parishad strongly condemns the comments of Ramji Lal Suman. This is a violation of parliamentary decorum and a shameful act. The authorities should take immediate and strict action against Suman to ensure that no public representative behaves like this in future.”
Ramji Lal Suman’s effigy burnt in Bikaner
In Jaipur, VHP and Bajrang Dal demonstrated at Chhoti Chaupad and raised slogans against the MP. A protest was held in front of the collectorate in Bikaner and the effigy of the MP was burnt. In this protest called by Sarva Hindu Samaj, the members of the organization condemned the remarks of MP Suman and said that his statement about Rana Sanga is false and insulting.
Demand for legal action against Ramji Lal Suman
The protesters submitted a memorandum addressed to the President to the District Collector, demanding cancellation of Ramji Lal Suman’s Rajya Sabha membership and legal action against him. A similar protest was also held in Ajmer. Recently, the Rajya Sabha member had said that Rana Sanga was a “traitor” and Rana Sanga had brought Babar to defeat Ibrahim Lodi.
