Nirmal Chaudhary Got Bail: Nirmal Chaudhary, former president of Rajasthan State University’s student union and national election in-charge of Congress’ student wing NSUI, got bail today and was released. The bail has been granted by the Jaipur Sessions Court. Nirmal Chaudhary was arrested by the police on Saturday (June 21) from outside the classroom after giving the exam at Rajasthan University.
The police reached the university in civil dress to arrest Nirmal Chaudhary. All the policemen forcibly loaded him in the car and took him to the police station. The live video of Nirmal Chaudhary’s arrest from the university campus in a filmy style went viral on social media. Nirmal Chaudhary had reached the university to give the paper of MA Philosophy subject. At that time, Congress party MLA from Sangaria seat Abhimanyu Poonia had also come there to give the exam.
After arresting Nirmal Chaudhary, Abhimanyu Poonia also forcibly boarded the vehicle in which the police was taking him. Jaipur Police had arrested Nirmal Chaudhary in connection with an incident of ruckus in the university in the year 2022. He was accused of gathering a crowd and scuffling with the policemen present there. However, questions were raised on the sudden police action and arrest of Nirmal Chaudhary after 3 years in the case.
Former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot also called this arrest politically motivated. Two days ago, Nirmal Chaudhary was on a hunger strike along with the family of Jodhpur resident doctor Rakesh Bishnoi in the suicide case. It is being said that the police arrested Nirmal Chaudhary in the old case after getting angry with the family of Dr. Rakesh Bishnoi joining the hunger strike.
Nirmal Chaudhary was presented in Jaipur court today amid tight security arrangements. The police also brought him to the court amid tight security. During this time, Nirmal Chaudhary was not allowed to talk to the media. When he was presented in the court, a bail plea was filed on behalf of Nirmal Chaudhary. The court accepted the bail plea and ordered the release of Nirmal Chaudhary.

Nirmal Chaudhary is said to be a close member of the team of Rahul Gandhi, the leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha. It was because of his closeness to Rahul Gandhi that he was given the responsibility of national election in-charge in NSUI.
